Google Dooles 23.09.2021 04:15  Date: September 23, 2021 Today’s Doodle celebrates Saudi Arabia’s National Day, known in local Arabic as Al-Yaom-ul-Watany, which commemorates the unification of the Saudi Kingdom on this day in 1932. Each year, September 23 is a chance for Saudi citizens to celebrate their cultural heritage and look toward the future. During national day festivities, streets throughout the country are saturated with green and white—the colors of the Saudi flag depicted in the Doodle artwork. Citizens can be seen adorned in these symbolic colors and displaying the national flag on cars and private homes. In 2014, Jeddah city officials celebrated National Day with an unveiling of a 561-foot flagpole which continues to fly the Saudi flag as the tallest flagpole in the world!
