Today marks the northernmost African country’s 66th year of independence. Along with sunny weather and golden beaches, Tunisia boasts a rich history: Roman archaeological sites containing temples, mosaics and one of the largest coliseums in the world, El Jem, an amphitheater that’s still used today.
